Three Rio Americano seniors are running an SPCA donation drive for their Civitas project. Charlotte Stuart, Audrey Harrington and Hannah Stuart will provide each fourth period classroom with a donation box during the week of April 21.
All donations will go to the Sacramento SPCA to help with their efforts to provide temporary homes for animals.
“The value of the SPCA is to create a loving and protecting space for animals,” Charlotte Stuart said. “We chose this project because we all have a strong passion for animals and wanted to do something that could help out rescue animals in shelters.”
The three seniors have eight pets among them, four dogs and four cats.
