UC Davis is looking for students to participate in its upcoming (and free) Fostering the Future summer educational event.
The event will be hosted by Research Experience in Surgery (RESURG) at the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento on Saturday and Sunday, June 28–29. The annual two-day event provides an opportunity for Sacramento area high school students to explore careers in healthcare or research, gain valuable professional skills, and experience a weekend packed with hands-on events.
Students will be able to participate in career panels, suturing and dissection labs, and tour the UC Davis Medical Center and Vascular Clinic. The tentative curriculum schedule, as well as pictures from last year’s event, are attached for you to view. Fostering the Future is free to attend, but students must apply and be accepted into the program to participate. Applications for this event are officially open until Wednesday, May 14.
Students can visit the UC Davis Health website (click the yellow “Philanthropy” tab at the top of the page) or view the application for more information.
