Each year, the San Juan Unified School District gives families who live within the San Juan boundaries the opportunity to request a school of their choice that isn’t their neighborhood school, given families can provide transportation and there are spaces available at the requested school.
Space available for the lottery depends on both the capacity of the school and programs at the school post-placement of enrolled resident students.
The Open Enrollment lottery for the 2024-2025 school year began on Dec. 4 and will continue until Jan. 19 at 5 p.m.
Families can apply by submitting an application online at www.sanjuan.edu/openenrollment.
Results for the open enrollment lottery will be emailed to families the first week of February.
