Trump’s Locker Room Talk Threatens Women’s Rights

Donald Trump’s sexist comments are demeaning to women.

Presidential candidate Donald Trump threatens to destroy all the hard work women have put into fighting for equal rights and ending sexism.

Not only is he outright racist, but he is a misogynist. Trump allegedly wants to “make America great again,” but how can that be possible when he shows nothing but disrespect for half of the population.

Trump belittles women by rating them and making disgusting comments about their appearance, as shown by a video of Trump that has recently surfaced on Access Hollywood.

In the video Trump says, “You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful-I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star they let you do it.”

He talked about groping co-stars because he couldn’t help himself. Someone with this little self restraint is not suited to run a country.

During the second Presidential Debate, Trump claimed this was “locker room talk” and that he has nothing but respect for women. That could not be further from the truth.

As a result of his denial, women have united and come forward to share their first-hand experience of Trump’s assault. Many of their cases were published by the New York Times.

Jessica Leeds revealed her story a few weeks ago.  She told her tale about flying first class next to Trump, and after 45 minutes his hands were all over her.

Of course Trump claims that his “crude words never turned into actions.” Even if this were true, he is not denying his verbal attack on Leeds.

Rachel Crooks, a secretary for a company that did business with Trump, is another woman Trump has allegedly assaulted. While waiting outside an elevator she recognized him and shook his hand, but he would not let go.

“He kissed me directly on the mouth.” Crooks told The New York Times.

These are just two instances of the many that have occurred.

To these accusations Trump does what he does with every issue that should matter, he insults people and blames someone else.

Whether it’s the economy or new law proposals, Trump never says what he plans to do. Instead he just throws out claims and works his way around the truth.

Now when being accused by countless women who finally have the courage to say something, he remarks on their appearance saying “They wouldn’t be my first choice,” or claims Clinton put them up to it.

Every girl and woman alike have struggled or continue to struggle with some sort of insecurity concerning their appearance. Trump does nothing to help this problem, instead he sustains it and has become apart of it.

In 1996 Alicia Machado won Miss Universe. Machado gained weight after her win and Trump made sure she knew she was an embarrassment.

Trump relentlessly commented on her weight and began to make racist remarks as well.

He would call Machado things like “Miss Piggy” or “Miss Housekeeping” because she’s Latino.

These comments left her depressed and with eating disorders.

Clinton used this incident as an example for why Trump does not have the temperament to be president.

He responded via Twitter, and at three a.m. Trump tweeted, “Did crooked Hillary help disgusting (check out sex tape and past) Alicia M become a U.S. citizen so she could use her in the debate?”

In this tweet Trump is telling his followers to “check out sex tape and past” when there was no sex tape. This is libel.

If this is how Trump can treat Miss Universe, how can he possibly treat any other woman differently.

He publically humiliated Machado with false accusations through social media.

Donald Trump treats women like objects that exist only to please him or accessorize the Trump brand. He continues to show nothing but disrespect for women.

He does what he wants to women and wants to tell them what they can or can’t do with their bodies.

As president Trump would like to appoint a conservative Supreme Court justice who would overturn the Roe v. Wade ruling making abortion illegal.

Even if getting an abortion would be beneficial to the woman’s health or if the woman was a victim of rape, Trump is pro-life and wants to take away women’s right to choose.

Trump verbally and sexually assaults women, and overall he is a deplorable “man.”
