Gooey, chocolate crumbles fell from the judges’ mouths as they savored junior Anna Chriss’ award-winning chocolate chip cookies.
The Mirada hosted its annual holiday cookie contest on Nov. 28, and Chriss emerged as the winner, as determined by a panel of judges consisting of teachers Brian Asher, Jaime Bonato, Gabriela DeLasse, and William Taylor.
Chriss’ cookies received a score of 8/10 and had a “great texture,” according to DeLasse.
Asher added that they were “real soft and gooey,” while Taylor said that “he could eat many.”
